Creating self-sustainable capital for Masana’s reintegration center for street kids
Hiring and training young men who are on the path to leaving a life on the streets behind.
Offering fully funded scholarships to all employees from high school to grad school
Armadura Gym was founded in 2013 with the mission of ending youth homelessness in Mozambique. Armadura is now one of the largest gyms in Mozambique operating as a non-profit social enterprise. Our passion is to rehabilitate young men from the streets. We do this by identifying high-potential young men through our partner charity, Masana,
who then enter our two-year internship where they are trained, mentored, and given the tools to leave the streetlife behind.
100% of Armadura's income is maintained locally and is reinvested in both Masana’s reintegration center for street kids as well as Armadura’s employee profit-sharing and scholarship programs. While all of our operations and charitable efforts are sustainable, Armadura periodically seeks donors to invest in our expansion. In previous fundraising rounds, Armadura’s investments have produced more than 2x the social capital that was invested.
Imagine what we can do together...
We need your help
Our mission to hire more young men, reach more clients, and give even more to Masana necessitates growth. Armadura is moving to a facility that is 2x the size of our current gym, allowing us to make more than 2x the impact. We need your help to renovate this new location and purchase new equipment. For this expansion we are raising $50,000. Our last fundraising round succeeded in turning $15,000 into $35,000 of social capital in just two years. Just imagine what we can do together.
We can't do it without you.
Armadura Gym is partnered with A Little Charity, a non-profit organization committed to serving the most vulnerable members of Mozambican society. 100% of the funds A Little Charity receives for this project will be passed on to Armadura Gym. Also, because A Little Charity is a 501c3 organization your donation is tax deductible. If you would like to mail a check, please put Armadura in the memo and mail it to:
